The website has finally been updated again! Check out the clients horses in our "horses" section, as well as a video of 'Gee Whizz'.
I also have plans of a full refurbishment of the website (I'm not so fond of this layout any more) so that should be up in the next few days with luck.
On an even more exciting note, I am finally allowed back in the saddle in two weeks, so it will be very exciting to have Fox back in work, and a few weeks later all the others can similarly go back into work!!

It's been a while between updates, and a few things have happened.
On Christmas day I was excited to find a letter in my mail from NSWIS announcing that the National Selectors had named myself and Fox to be on the National 'A' Squad this year. This is really exciting and a huge honour.
The next thing that happened was I bought another horse. His name is 'Obie' and I'm hoping that he will be a good turnover project. He seems very quiet and sweet, and the first rides on him haven't disappointed. Video and photos of his first ride coming soon.
Sadly, two days after this I managed to have one of the silliest falls of my life, as unspectacular as a fall can be, and naturally from this ridiculous fall I managed to do myself some damage. The result being a dislocated and broken ankle, which will have me in a cast for 6 weeks (today is the end of the first week, so 5 from today), and after that I guess it will be a case of arguing with the doctors as to when I'm allowed back on a horse! It is really disappointing for me given that Obie and Gee Whizz were going so well, and Fox was due to come back into work after his spell today. Still, as frustrating as it may be, things could be a lot worse!
Good news is, it gave me time to finally get the video of Gee Whizz working and on the website (hurrah!) so feel free to have a look.
So that's all the news for now.

Website is slowly coming along. Most pages are now working if not completely finished.
Uni holidays are here and as such the property is getting a very thorough 'spring clean' in preparation for a busy year next year! In addition to this, we currently have a few spaces open for schooling and agistment. In an attempt to maintain our lovely grass, places are very much limited, so if you are interested in having your horse at HBP, the best thing to do is call before they go. We currently have three places available for schooling (any type), two places available for stable/paddock agistment and two spaces available for paddock agistment. As I am upgrading to a truck, my lovely luxurious 4wd is for sale, as is Revelwood Smart Choice. For details on both please go to the 'horses' section of the website (I know the car isn't a horse, but as yet I don't have a 'for sale' section so it will have to do for now!!! HBP wishes everyone a happy Christmas and looks forward to seeing everyone out riding again in the new year!

Fox had a very successful week at Lakes and Craters. The venue was stunning with a lovely view of the lake from almost every cross country jump!
Fox did a lovely calm test to be in 7th place after the dressage and less than 10 points off the leader.
Cross country day was hot, and the course was long, as such I let Fox pick the speed and we came home well over time, but clear on jump penalties and with a happy healthy horse, ready to jump the next day. As it turned out, everyone was well over time, and with Amanda Ross having an unfortunate runout at the very skinny brush after the slide, Fox and I found ourselves in 6th place going into the showjumping.
The showjumping was certainly influential, with the class leader Hamish Cargill having a very unfortunate stop at the treble, and then quite a few rails as the horse lost its focus to finish in 6th place. Fox breathed on two rails and sadly they came down, but we still managed to finish a very creditable 5th place, which, in our first CCI*** I was pretty happy about!
1st place went to Emily Anker on Keniski, 2nd to Tim Boland on GV Billy Elliot, 3rd to Hamish Cargill on Sandhills Tiger, 4th to Dominic Ingvall on Ari De Guaihir. I guess the motto of the story is, GO NSW! Taking out 2nd to 6th place at a Victorian event!

So the eventing year is nearly finished. Camden is this weekend, and HBP pupil Kirsten is our sole representative. She is in the prelim on her trusty steed 'Tonto' (aka Agent 86 or Archie). Hopefully the weather will be a little better than the snow we had at Goulburn!!!

All going well, Fox will probably go to Lakes and Craters in the first week of December. This will be our first time out in a CCI*** so hopefully it will be a good introduction to the tougher tracks we are now ready to face!

Gee Whizz will sadly be in December Horse Deals. He is a lovely little horse that would ideally suit an ambitious young rider looking to take a horse up the grades. All the hard work is done, he is well schooled on the flat, a really brave and honest jumper, and just generally a fun horse to ride.  It's sad to part with him, but between Fox, the property and full-time uni, I just don't have the time this guy deserves. Details are on his page.
